The latest bulletin from the Environment Agency is available here: 09.03.21 Thames Covid-19 update

As of March 2021, in-person society events remain cancelled due to the COVID19 pandemic. Details about the online events, including the AGM, are available in “Scull, Pole and Paddle”

The improving situation gives us hope that some events may be able to run in the summer. Details will be published here when available.

The latest information from the EA can be found by following links under the “River Thames Advice” section of this website.

As of 5 March 2021 (this may change with time, so please check), the Government’s plan for private boating in small open boats is as follows:

8 March: Stay local (stay in the village, town or part of the city where you live). Private boating on an open boat permitted for recreation for a single household or bubble – subject to the requirements to stay local and minimise time spent away from home

29 March: Minimise travel.  6 people / 2 households per boat provided social distancing can be maintained between people / different households.

No earlier than 17 May: Minimise travel. Same as previous step, but now, on open boats, up to legal capacity.

No earlier than 21 June: No restrictions (subject to review)
